Narrative

When creating this piece, I had the theme of keeping people safe by valuing their privacy no matter what information sources are used. The researcher I worked with had interests in privacy-preserving data analysis and technologies, therefore I implemented that through the visual of a line of people whispering to each other in a forest of secrets. In a game like "telephone", knowing someone’s information makes it prone for it to be shared with others along a line. It shows the vulnerability of people's private information if not careful. I used bright acrylics and paint markers to paint the different people, their relationships intertwined by chains of data.
